Happiness

Ah today is a nice... well nice enough day here in Northern Europe. I have to say this area of the world is really not known for its beautiful weather. However it has a certain charm about it that will draw you to stay a while.

I have been traveling non-stop over the last several months. In fact, I can only think of one weekend I actually stayed home in the last 3 months!! I am on a new adventure over here and want to make the absolute most out of it. I have been very fortunate to see some amazing places lately. And 2008 is not over yet, looking forward to many more fond memories.

This last weekend I was in a city called Utrecht, which is very close to Amsterdam. This city is very much underrated. I have spent a lot of time there and enjoyed its quiet charm and energy. I went there with a new group of friends and we all had a great time indeed. It is funny how the paths of your life bring people to you when you least expect it. Moving to the foreign land I have chosen, it is not always easy to connect with people that 'get you' or you can just be yourself with. I feel very lucky and really, really happy to have found a token few of these great people.

As I sit here on this beautiful Autumn day in the Netherlands with my koffie verkeerd in hand, I just would like to say that I have found some true happiness within my heart and it feels great!
