Driving In Europe

So I recently found out that I have to take driving lessons and take a new driver's test in DUTCH... yeah you can imagine I was not so thrilled about this at all. I really don't need a car but it would be nice to rent a car for a longer amount of time and then when the time comes that I might want to buy one of those cute Smart cars then I could do that.

So with great resistance I began taking driving lessons last week. What an adventure! These roads are soooooo small. And yes I realize that the cars are small too but the amount of rules and signs that I need to learn.... not to mention the language!! And I thought the Texas drivers were crazy... they have nothing on the Europeans for sure. I have been driving for almost 20 years now in the states and I have now realized alot of bad habits I have developed over the years... not good.

I have my examine for my driver's license test in August and I am a bit nervous. I can't believe some of the things that I am having to redo and experience here. Some days I laugh about it all and then there are other days that I think to myself "Whose crazy idea was this?" Oh well I am still enjoying the wave of adventures and learning. I probably will never be at a place like this again in my life. So I will just enjoy it and ride the wave.

I will keep you posted on how it goes and maybe next week for my lesson I will take a picture of me and my driving instructor. Thank goodness he has alot of patience and a great sense of humor! One needs that to teach me out of my bad habits.

Till next time,

In love and gratitude,

Asha
