Have you ever met a person that just seemed to be like your guardian angel? You know the person that showed up at the right time and the right place to assist you with a problem or a situation?
I had a conversation a few weeks ago with a friend of mine about this very topic of people helping other people. Having that true compassion and desire to help someone else means you have to be aware and conscious that other people are going through similar struggles that you may have faced or are facing. It means for just a moment stepping into their shoes and seeing the world from their perspective for a moment. I do feel like we all get very busy in our daily lives at times and feel like we don't have the time to realize what someone else may be going through. The struggles that they may be feeling, or if they feel lost, hurt or unsure about what they need to do. Sometimes people just need someone to do something nice for them to let them know how much they are cared for. How many people out there complain about you doing something nice for them? Ok yeah sure I have had a few people in my life not want to take my assistance but that has to do with other issues of not being able to recieve ( and I have been guilty of this one too :) Honestly I do feel like we all go through this at some point. And isn't it nice when someone reaches out to you? Lately I have been having alot of people reaching out to me, some of them I know well and others not so much or at all. It reminds me to pay that forward to others in my life as much as I can. It does not take much of your time to do this, it could be helping a woman with her stroller as she gets on an escalator, or helping an elderly man off the train, paying for a cup of coffee for the person behind you in line, writing a letter of appreciation to someone that makes a difference to you... the list can go on and on. I feel that we all are in this world together despite the differences we may perceive.
I am grateful for the people that have been helping me out during this time of transition in my life. I want to say thank you for your notes, letters, gifts, meals, laughter and just being present in my life. I hope to pay it forward to others and to be there for you all when you need it as well. I do feel like we all are Angels in the Human form to help one another along our journey. A great journey it is with lots of exciting experiences to discover.
Enjoy your week and till next time.
In love and gratitude,
Asha
