Change....

I just received an email from a friend of mine that lives in India. He wrote to me after a really long time. He has just gone through some major changes in his life and has been out of communication while all of this stuff has been going on. He sent me a really long email and added this quote at the end. He thought that it would mean something to me as he just learned that I was going through alot of changes after finding my blog.

Here is the quote:

"Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future."

-John F. Kennedy

This quote could not have come at a better time. There is so much change going on right now, but isn't there always? In reading my friends email and listening to everything he has been through in the last year. All he is really spending his time focusing on is his future and what and whom is going to be a part of it. It doesn't mean that doesn't care for what is in the past, but he is moving along with the changes in his life and is very hopeful for the future and does not want to miss out on it for sure.

I found this to be a great reminder to myself and to others. Nothing stays the same and you either flow with it or the changes push you to go with it. Everything undergoes change, jobs, living arrangements, locations, relationships, careers, etc.. If change is always constant, why do we feel like we have to fight it? Or why do we stagnate our lives in order to keep things the same? There is no reason to and it may just be wasted energy spent on trying to keep things the same. Don't be afraid that no one is going to be there when the changes occur, because it always seems there will always be some other people exactly where you are and the synchronicity of how you will meet is not your job to figure out. The innate intelligence seems to take care of it for you!

Thank you Tiruk for your email. I am glad to see you embracing your changes. And thanks for the reminder for me to remain open to what may come in the new changes in my life.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend!

In love and gratitude,

Asha
