We are about to brink on the new decade of this century. Hard to believe that 10 years have passed by so relatively quickly. I remember how everyone was freaking out about all computers crashing and possibly the world coming to an end. Maybe it did on some level, maybe some major things shifted within the last ten years that we can reflect upon and appreciate. I think every day can begin as a new beginning and there need not be a new year to occur. However I will say there is a significant shift that occurs as the calendar rolls into another year. As I sit here and listen to the bombardment of fireworks blasting off, I wish for everyone much peace, love, happiness and clear vision. I wish for everyone to be healthy, prosperous and more conscious in the way we live our lives. Take care of one another more and show more compassion and love.
Enjoy your New Year's Eve evening wherever you may be and will be in touch in the new year.
In gratitude,
Asha

Dedicated to SGB
This is a friendly reminder to one of my dearest friends in the whole world.
Please remember that when times get tough and you can't see a way out or a solution.. there always is. Look within yourself, believe in your strength, love, compassion and integrity to get you through your day. You deserve the utmost happiness, peace, love and support in this world. There are people around you that are happy to give that to you, just ask. I know things have been rough lately and continue to be so. Don't worry you are not given anything more than what you can handle. Take your happiness into your own hands and make a change for the betterment of yourself. I promise those around you will be better for it. You give so much to people around you and I am fortunate to be one of them.I admire you for your integrity, strenght, poise and determination. I pray that you are given enlightenment and solutions to your current situation. I am just a phone call away ready to give you any support you need. Take care.
With gratitude and love for friends like you. Thank you for your pressence in my world.

Time is precious
Lately I have been getting alot of messages from loved ones stating that they themselves or their loved ones are ill or have passed on from this world. It seems to be alot of people lately.. at times like this I often get reminded of just how precious time is and how fragile life can be. From one moment to the next life can change. And whatever that change is the important point is that we don't waste our time. Don't live with regrets. Say what you want to the people you love and care for. Don't worry about what tomorrow will bring or won't bring, the present is the here and now. Be kind to those you love, yourself is included in that. Be patient with yourself. Learn to balance the different aspects of life. Life is sweet and so are each and every one of us...

Quiet time of the year
As we wind down in the last month of this tumultous year it is a perfect time to take a little 'quiet' time. The year of 2010 has been filled with ups and downs. Lots of extremes, truths ,lies, darkness, light, give and take, all in all it has been about learning more balance. We are finishing the end of the first decade of this century and the question I am asking is 'where do we stand now?' Where do you personally stand in your life, are you where you want to be? Are you doing the things that you want to do? Are you surrounded by love and support? Are you inspired to be a better citizen of the world?
Where does the world as a whole stand? What direction are we going to? Are we really healing the true cause of the financial state of the global economy as a whole? Or are we just trying to patch things up with old ideas that just won't work this time around? We are going through a change, individually as well as collectively. Some of us are listening to the call to be committed to being better contributors to the world, while some of us are floundering around trying to figure out if it is really worth the effort and transformation or not.
This is a heavy conversation to be blogging about as I speak of this being the 'quiet time of the year' :) But for me my life has reached yet another pinnacle and it is my committment to take some introspective time to see what I feel, think and will do about some of the topics I mentioned. It is time for a real transformation on a deeper level of the meaning of life.
I am just wondering who in my surroundings are going to walk forward with me and who is going to choose to stay behind as we walk into the next decade of this century....

Is there such a thing?
Is there such a thing as wasting time? Can anyone waste your time for you? I don't think they can. We make our own choices on whether we are going to do something or not. If we are giving that into someone elses hands that means we are disempowering ourselves. If we in fact empower ourself and choose actively what we are doing with our 'time' than there is no such thing as wasting time... Well that is how I see it up until this moment. I guess maybe it is time to get more proactive and productive about what I am doing with my time.. Time is precious, whether you spend it relaxing, working or just loafing around. Do it consciously and don't be afraid to sit in limbo or transition for a while. It just might do some good.

Waiting.... for the right time.
W-Wisdom. Sometimes the act of waiting gives you more wisdom about the situation or answer that is needed.
A-Answers. Waiting sometimes bring the answers to you rather than you searching for them.
I-Ingenuity. Waiting for something or someone gives your mind the ability to be ingenious.
T-Tiredness. Sometimes waiting can you make one tired. This can serve a positive purpose as well for some much needed rest.
I-Independence. Sometimes waiting for something or someone makes you have to do things on your own. So you gain an intense amount of independence. It can be quite liberating.
N-Numerous. Waiting for something to happen or change in a situation can allow you to get numerous options. These options may not have come so quickly towards you if you had jumped at the first decision to begin with. Numerous options allows you to use your newfound wisdom to make a better decision.
G-Goal!! The process of waiting always ends at a goal. Now it may not be the goal you initially had in mind but all in all it always ends on a good note for all parties involved.
The right time to act is precious. Don't ever worry about having to 'wait' for something or someone. It might just prove to be well worth the process.

The Frustrations of Status Quo..
Sometimes in our lives we feel as if we are in 'holding' pattern. That can be so frustrating at times and we can lose our patience. And at the same time these slow periods of time are well needed. Sometimes we know for why and sometimes we don't know why but it serves some bigger purpose.
Usually when we try to force things rather than allow it to flow freely and naturally it ends up being not what we wanted to begin with. During these slow 'status quo' periods I like to try to just chill out. Do something relaxing, read a book, not think too much and allow the answers to come. The Universe has a way of working itself out for the best. A little faith and patience is needed at times like this.

Asha
